Sue is currently completing a PhD at La Trobe University and will present findings from a study that explores the work of practitioners, in a range of service settings, who assist people experiencing mental health issues with whom they share a similar cultural, linguistic or faith background.
Sue has completed a BA and a MA (Research) in Anthropology and has taught undergraduate Sociology, including Health Sociology, and Anthropology. She is an Occupational Therapist and has worked in international development, community and correctional mental health, and also in education and service development roles in early psychosis, recovery-oriented practice and transcultural mental health. Sue has worked at VTMH since 2010.
