2020 dates released shortly. Sign up for our mailing list to receive information as details announced.
Build practical skills in providing culturally responsive mental health care by registering for our workshops.
We’ve designed our workshops to cater to various learning needs, from general introductory knowledge, to in-depth practice skill exploration and application.
Our workshops offer skill development across a number of practice areas including:
- Working with interpreters in mental health settings
- Approaching cultural assessment and supporting personal recovery
- Community engagement in mental health practice
- Introducing key culturally responsive principles and practices
Our workshops are suitable for anyone working in publically funded mental health programs across Victoria, including staff in acute clinical and community mental health services, as well as people working within mental health programs in community health and welfare services.
Participants in our 'Cultural responsiveness: Introduction to principles and practices' workshops have to us they have valued:
‘new theories and ways of working’,
‘updated research and knowledge’ and
‘the positive attitude of the presenters around cultural diversity’
Whilst awaiting 2020 dates, we also have a range of free, open access online learning modules. Explore these at anytime here.
