Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) Perinatal Mental Health Resource Portal for Health Professionals (2011)
About the project
The CaLD Perinatal Mental Health Resource Portal was compiled by the Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit (VTPU) as a component of the CaLD Perinatal Project, which the VTPU managed as part of the Victorian response to the National Perinatal Depression Initiative in 2011.
The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Perinatal Depression Project aimed to provide training for professionals in working effectively with women from CALD backgrounds experiencing mental health concerns during the perinatal period.
Components of the project included an information and consultation forum, delivery of a face to face training program to health professionals, and production of an online training resource for clinicians working with expectant and new mothers.
