State Wide CALD Mental Health Services

The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture (VFST), or 'Foundation House':

Foundation House provides a range of services to people from refugee backgrounds who have survived torture or war related trauma. Provides direct services to clients in the form of counselling, advocacy, family support, group work, psycho-education, information sessions and complementary therapies. Direct services to clients are coupled with referral, training and education roles aimed at developing and strengthening the resources of various communities and service providers.

ADEC (Action on Disability in Ethnic Communities)

ADEC is a state-wide organisation that strives to empower people with a disability from Non-English speaking backgrounds, their carers and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.

The Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit (VTPU)

The VTPU is a state wide service which supports area mental health services and psychiatric disability support services in working with consumers, carers and communities from diverse cultural backgrounds throughout Victoria. Services include education and training, clinician support via the external enquiries service, consultation and service development, and research.
